Where will I stay during my time in Regensburg

The International Office (Akademisches Auslandsamt) has only a certain number of rooms in several student dormitories. These rooms can be offered to Exchange Students and Regular International Students. The rooms differ in size, furnishing and prices.
For organisatorial reasons it is not possible to choose your room. But we try to fullfill your wishes if only possible.
The dormitories are open for men and women of all religious denominations.

After having received the Startet den Datei-Downloadhousing application form and the Startet den Datei-Downloadacceptance of housing, we will reserve a room for you.

Term of lease

The term of lease is always a whole semester of 6 month (March till the end of August, September till the end of February). You can prolong your stay from semester to semester. If you want to leave your room you have to inform the International Office Öffnet ein Fenster zum Versenden einer E-Mailhannelore.siegl-ertl

Prices

Single rooms (sharing the kitchen and bathroom facilities): 170,- € - 260,- € per month
Apartment with own kitchenette and bathroom:                  240,- € - 300,- € per month

Deposit

Students accepting the housing arrangements through the International Office (Akademisches Auslandsamt) must therefore pay :
240,- € deposit (refundable upon checking out of the room)
  60,- € reservation fee (non-refundable)

Please note:
The reservation will be possible only if you make the payment of deposit and fee in due time. 

What do the rooms look like?

All rooms are furnished with
-    a bed and covers, pillow and sheets
-    a desk with a chair, a bookshelf and a wardrobe
-    Internet access
Washing machines and dryers are available in every dormitory. Kitchen utensils (pots, pans, dishes, cutlery etc.) are not provided by the dormitories.

The voltage is 220 V.

Where can I have lunch or dinner?

Students can cook their own meals or eat in the Mensa (students´dining hall) and cafeterias. The Mensa offers warm meals from Monday to Friday twice a day. Students pay with their Öffnet einen externen Link in einem neuen FensterMensa-Card, which every registered student can get for a deposit of 10,- €.
